What could be better than challenging your hero to a game of tennis? Seeing them up close as they compete in the Sony Ericsson Championships in Doha, Qatar!

The First Prize winner will receive:

  • 2 round trip airfares to Doha, Qatar;
  • 3 nights' hotel accommodation in Doha, Qatar;
  • 2 tickets (with VIP hospitality) to the semifinals and finals of the Sony Ericsson Championships - Doha 2008;
  • Behind-the-scenes tour of the Sony Ericsson Championships - Doha 2008; and
  • 2 tickets to Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Year-End Party in Doha, Qatar

Five second prize winners will each receive one Sony Ericsson mobile phone (Estimated retail US$300). Winners will have the opportunity to select their Sony Ericsson mobile phone from five models presented by the WTA Tour.

 

CHALLENGE YOUR HERO -- OFFICIAL RULES

GENERAL CONDITIONS
By entering the Challenge Your Hero Contest ("Contest"), each contestant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, the WTA Tour Privacy Policy, WTA Tour Terms of Use and the Terms and Conditions, and by the decision(s) of WTA Tour which shall be final and binding in all respects.

Eligibility
The Contest is open only to individuals who are of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence (and at least 18 in the U.S.) and have a valid account ("Account") on this website as of the date of entry. Void where prohibited by law.

Employees or consultants of the WTA Tour or Eyespot Corporation or any of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries or advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (parent, sibling, child or spouse and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and any person residing in their same households, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate in the Contest or win a prize.

Contest Period
The Contest begins on Monday, September 15, 2008 and ends Wednesday, October 15, 2008.

How to Enter
You may register to participate in the Contest from 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on Monday, September 15, 2008 through 11:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Limit one (1) entry per person. In case of multiple entries received from any person, only the first entry received from such person will be considered. If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the Account.

If you are not already an Account holder, you must become one before you can enter the Contest (Accounts are free). Entries are subject to the Terms and Conditions accessible at www.challengeyourhero.com/legal/terms. Please note that all information submitted by contestants is subject to, and will be treated in a manner consistent with, WTA Tour's Privacy Policy accessible at http://www.sonyericssonwtatour.com/3/privacypolicy/.a

Administration
By participating in the Contest, contestants agree that WTA Tour will solely resolve any disputes and rules violations that arise in connection with the Contest. All decisions by WTA Tour regarding the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects. Any incidence of collusion or cheating, as determined by WTA Tour in its sole discretion, will be subject to disqualification from the Contest without limitation to any other rights or remedies available to WTA Tour.

Determination of Winners and Winners List
The winners will be determined by WTA Tour, and such determination will be final. The WTA Tour will use the following criteria to select winning entries: creativity, originality, entertainment value, editing.

Each winner will also be notified by e-mail and/or telephone (in WTA Tour's discretion) and may (in WTA Tour's discretion) be confirmed by postal mail, return receipt (the "Prize Notification"). In the event that the winner does not respond to any such Prize Notification within five (5) days of date of issuance, a disqualification will result and the prize will be forfeited and, at WTA Tour's sole discretion, awarded to the runner-up (if applicable).

Each winner must meet all eligibility requirements including the execution and delivery of all necessary releases. Each winner may also be required to submit his/her valid social security number and/or other identification to WTA Tour. Failure to submit any identification required by WTA Tour or to return the required documents within the specified time period, noncompliance with these Official Rules or the return of any prize or Prize Notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and the prize will be forfeited and, at WTA Tour's sole discretion, awarded to the runner-up (if applicable). Contestants agree to allow WTA Tour to use their names and likenesses in any and all mediums now or hereafter known for advertising and publicity purposes throughout the world in perpetuity, without any compensation, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.

PRIZES
All prize details are at the sole discretion of WTA Tour.

Please note that in certain circumstances where a contestant's Account is closed by the WTA Tour for the reasons set forth in the Terms and Conditions, including, without limitation, a violation of the Terms and Conditions, any prizes awarded to such contestant may be voided and retained by WTA Tour.

Taxes
Prize winners are fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, state, provincial and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes).

Substitution
Prizes are non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemptions except in WTA Tour's sole and absolute discretion. WTA Tour reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of comparable or greater value at its sole and absolute discretion.

First Prize
The First Prize winner, as determined by WTA Tour in its sole discretion, will receive:

Information required to make the reservations for the First Prize, including, but not limited to, the names and ages of all travelers, departure city, and, if applicable, choice of travel dates, must be provided within 1 week of the initial request for such information, or the prize may be voided. Winner is responsible for all travel documentation and costs related thereto, including obtaining a visa to enter Doha, Qatar.

WTA Tour is not responsible for any damage, injury or other liability incurred in connection with any travel or tourism, nor is WTA Tour responsible for any cancellation, postponement, rescheduling or quality control issues with respect to fulfillment by the third-party travel or tourism providers.

Winner is solely responsible for all expenses and taxes not included in the First Prize package, including, without limitation, ground transportation to/from their local international airport, parking, meals (not provided in the First Prize package), room service, souvenirs, incidentals and other personal expenses.

Seat locations at the Sony Ericsson Championships - Doha 2008 shall be selected by WTA Tour at its sole and absolute discretion. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as prizes will govern in the event the Sony Ericsson Championships - Doha 2008 is not played due to weather, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbances or any other reason. Winner agrees to comply with all applicable WTA rules and regulations in connection with the First Prize. WTA Tour reserves the right to remove or to deny entry to winner and/or guest who engages in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the Sony Ericsson Championships - Doha 2008.

Second Prize
The second prize winner, as determined by WTA Tour in its sole discretion, will receive one (1) Sony Ericsson mobile phone (Estimated retail price of the Second Prize: US$300). Such contestant will have the opportunity to select their Sony Ericsson mobile phone from five (5) models presented by the WTA Tour.

Merchandise will ship within 14 days of the date the prize is claimed by the winner. All goods are shipped F.O.B. Origin, and accordingly WTA Tour takes no responsibility for any damage incurred during shipping.

LEGAL DISCLAIMERS
WTA Tour and its affiliates, licensors, licensees, vendors, business partners and advertising and promotional agencies, and each of their respective employees, directors, officers, members, agents and representatives (collectively, "Released Parties") are not responsible for lost, late, stolen, garbled, delayed, undelivered or misdirected entries, for incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete entry information whether caused by a contestant, equipment, or technical malfunction or for any human error, technical error or malfunctions.

The Released Parties are not responsible for any technical, computer, network, typographical, printing, human or other errors relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors or problems which may occur in connection with the offer or administration of the Contest, the processing of entries or any errors appearing in any Contest related-materials, including, but not limited to, errors in advertising, the Official Rules, the selection and announcement of the prize winners or the distribution of the prizes.

The Released Parties make no warranties, express or implied, relative to the use or enjoyment of any prize or portions thereof, including without limitations, its quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. By entering the Contest, each contestant agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and fully release the Released Parties from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, death, or damages of any kind caused by participation in the Contest or resulting from the acceptance, possession, quality, use or misuse of any prize, or any portion of any prize.

Internet
If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest, WTA Tour reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest and, if terminated, to determine the winners, if any, from among all eligible, non-suspect contestants.

The Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Released Parties are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network, cable, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP) or lines, computer systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Contest. All entries become the property of the WTA Tour.

General
Challenge Your Hero is a skill contest designed to increase consumer awareness of and interest in women's professional tennis and the WTA Tour. The Contest may not be used for, or in connection with, any form of gambling.

WTA Tour reserves the right to modify the Official Rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Contest.

All applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations apply. This Contest and these Official Rules will be governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any court of competent jurisdiction sitting within the State of New York, New York County will be the exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to this Contest or these Official Rules. WTA Tour's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
